Marni Spring 2010
I wasn't blown away on the first look through of the latest Marni show, but then I started to look through the detail shots. Just by the fact that there are 141 of these images is impressive enough but these are some of the things I really, really like, and what makes me an ongoing admirer of the label:
chunky fixtures usually used on bags to replace buttons
delicate embellishment done in a clean, contemporary way
modern bohemia
print and pattern (wish there was more in this show)
whimsical detail
palette, shoes you could run in
I just want these (legging, socks, shoes) in my wardrobe
and beautiful accessories that look fresh

Why have I not seen this label before? The underwear worn as outwear concept done really nicely plus some interesting knitting to boot - I want some!

Shop Update
I have now added the Fine Net Scarves to my shop. When taking the pictures of them I was surprised at how much the colour influenced the styling of them, considering they are exactly the same scarf.
I thought the purple and cream one looked very pretty and feminine so paired it with a Vanessa Bruno Athe blouse:
The blue one was a bit more masculine, but I personally would wear this colour the most.
And the black one I've styled as a shrug. I tied all four corners together with my arm through one of the holes. It is actually pretty comfortable because the knit is so giving. You'll only be able to do this with this scarf if you are an AU8 or 10, but I might make some longer ones for a future collection.

Fine Net Scarves
Some more Spring/Summer weight scarves that are in Bahamonde and I will list in my shop tomorrow. These are cotton based and have a fine metallic yarn running through them which gives them not only a bit of sparkle, but a voluminous, crumpled (in a good way) look.
