CBD - flinders lane area
a walk along degraves street and centre place
a bite to eat at canteen
stop in at polyester
incu (only men's clothing at this stage) but the sales assistants are friendly and sometimes boys' clothing can look good on girls too...
the nicholas building for quirky tennants like l'uccello
and further up the street is eg etal, zambesi, tessuti and craft victoria.
have something to eat at the elegant cumulus (they don't take bookings though so i recommend going at off peak times)
(image from cumulus)
walk around to hosier lane (on its way to being overexposed but still worth a visit), see a show at the forum theatre if there's something good on (terrible website, but really cool inside) and then some tapas at movida next door.
CBD - other areas
pellegrini's - i especially love this place on a cold and frosty night.
around the corner is von haus, a small but charismatic eating house
and next to that is glitzern and gallery funaki
supper inn - super daggy, but open super late!
curtain house, for a bunch of interesting tenants. go around 4pm so you can check out the shops and then move onto a drink and dinner, some music or a film.
also, buy some shoes or a coffee at captains of industry
see some jazz at bennett's lane
find out what's happening at thousand pound bend
and there's still lots on my list so i will do a part II soon!
