here are some samples for this project, mainly for ideas. these are the steps i take when working on collection pieces so i thought i'd try and document the whole process. the patterns you can see below are from generic fair isle pattern cards.

Nice. Love those buttons, and the blue looks beautiful with the taupe.
You just don't see nice, handmade knitwear for men around much, do you? This is a great idea.
beautiful! i can't wait to see where these samples will bring you.
ooh, I LOVE these
the samples look so good
I just wonder
what kind of knitting-machine do you use?
I can not imagine you knit it al by hand....
I really like the first and the second one! I would alos like to know what kind of machine do you use?
oh my gosh ... i *love* these!!!
amazing elizabeth!! excited to see your new project.
belinda - thanks :) i agree, guys don't have as much choice, but now that i'm looking around, there are some beautiful jumpers out there.
kim, mav, julia - nice to hear from you all!
patrice and este - for these i used a singer 324, an older, quite basic machine, but still going well.
Wow - can't wait to see the final product!
I actually find this quite fascinating elizabeth - seeing the process take shape from scratch.
