another trip up to montsalvat to visit daniela on this long (cold & foggy) weekend.
in the first image you can see a recent portrait she has painted where her brown linen canvas is deliberately left exposed as part of the image. the canvases are stretched by her husband mick and are fastened by rows of little brown nails on the rear. such a beautiful way to make use of and highlight the materials.
