here are some more images of the new sweaters. these were a collaboration with renee and will be available through anaise sometime soon. i really like these tops. although i love minimalism, i sometimes worry about making minimalist pieces, without any decoration, it almost seems like there's nowhere to hide. but the beauty about collaborations is that your partner asks different things of you than you would yourself and then that is an avenue for growth and exploration.
the plum coloured one (named bramble) is made with a peruvian alpaca. the yarn is quite rustic, but i could wear it on its own without any under layer. the navy one (ink), is made of a superfine merino wool. it's not dissimilar to cashmere and can definitely be worn on its own. both are quite slim fitting, something a bit different to my previous garments. they fasten with a cotton herringbone tape ribbon, which has a tiny linen stitch detail at the hem (see middle image). it's such a pleasure to work with renee and i can't wait to see them in with all the new pieces that must be arriving into anaise right now.
and apologies for patchy posting. i've been a bit sick and am having a bit of down time creatively. i probably won't put together a full blown collection this half of the year, maybe just make some pieces here and there, but i've accumulated quite a few samples now and plan to have a sale soon.
