I've had it in the back of my head that I need to get the whole taking photos of self sorted because it's really just the best way to illustrate clothing. Accessories you can get away with plain product shots, but knitwear in particular just looks like a jumble of wool if not on a body. I'm not a jump in front of the camera and strike a pose kind of person so I've more or less avoided it so far. But I found these beautiful self portraits by Eleanor Hardwick (who btw, is more than half my age) and I feel really inspired to have a proper shot at it. Have a look at her flickr/website.
