back in melbourne now. the rayman and i had such an amazing time, which isn't that hard in new york, but it's people that make all the difference to whether you have a good time or a great time.
above is our wonderful host sam. these images were taken at freemans and as you can see, we were greatly inspired by the taxidermied decor. i can't take all the credit for finding great places to eat - sam is a foodie's dream friend (or cousin in law as it happens) and has unending enthusiasm for great food.
and look what i received from nancy!
back story: after waiting for weeks and weeks for this to hit our shores i went into the shop a few days too late to find it had completely sold out. crushingly disappointed, nancy (who had offered before but i turned down her down because i thought it would be so easy just to go down to the store and pick up a copy) offered again to send me one from montreal. so since i was in new york i asked her to send it there. it came on the very last day and so has now travelled london - montreal - new york - melbourne.
