tonight at a detacher

i am currently living someone else's life. tonight we went to see the a detacher show (thanks caitlin!). i loved it. the colour, the volume, the pattern... all so beautiful. i realised that it's actually really hard to take good runway pictures but you can already see the collection here.

i enjoyed looking at this exhibit today. the sheer size of some of these animals was almost overwhelming.

things i bought part 4

the last installment!

top: steven alan dress - the kind of dress i dream about. i've been wearing it everyday

and just varying the layers over and under it.

bottom: acid wash. yes, acid wash dusen dusen dress. i actually ordered this retrospectively

and it was a bit of a risk ordering a fitted garment that i'd never tried on, but it's worked

out pretty well, and i'm in love with the fabric - it looks like storm clouds to me.

things i bought part 3

rachel comey shoes and muji recycled yarn socks.

can i tell you, new york is rachel comey shoe heaven - i tried on several pairs just for fun.

i've been wary of buying her shoes online because i've read so often that they run

small/narrow and my feet are quite broad but these are my normal size 38 and fit really well.

and i've mentioned this before.
it's meant to be jasmin, but when i smell it all i can think of is turkish delight.
i've also discovered that it is truly amazing when layered with tam dao.

starting with the heavy stuff that is so irresistible in the shop,

a pain in transit, but so worth it when you get home.
