when in melbourne...part II

gertrude street has been my favourite street for about 15 years. there is something in the air there that makes it quite different to the perpendicular brunswick and smith streets (that are always crazily busy too). it feels quite laid back and european and also quite edgy in an uncontrived way. in the last few years heaps of great shops have sprung up there too like...

aesop - one of my favourites. i recommend buying a tube of their hand cream if you'd like to have people swooning at your feet every time you open it.

obus - supercute melbourne label

there's many good places to eat on gertrude st but since i'm always in a rush to get somewhere else, i get pizza by the slice from here

another great shop to check out if you're not from melbourne is spacecraft

and 3rd drawer down is just off the street.

oh, and make sure you walk all the way from smith st to nicholson (or vice versa).
