in the afternoon heat...

nowadays to be a friend of mine means you have to be willing to endure lots of trying on of woollen garments in summer heat while i stand there and hum and haa at the most intricate details. luckily kate is a very good friend and agreed to lend herself for a little photoshoot in the afternoon humidity.

drafting up patterns in different sizes is on my list of things to do but i've started with some pieces that would fit a range of body sizes. i wanted to show some of these on kate, not only because she's a beautiful model but she's 6ft tall! she's also a AU/UK 12 and a US 8 and in her words has very long arms.

this is the button pocket sweater in medium.

(sorry about my scrunched up camera face)

and i'm working on some different closures for the small shapes cardi as i'm just about out of the grosgrain snaps. this is what i'll probably do next.
edit - this is the cardigan in a size medium, which is not available just yet.

Kate must be a VERY good friend to pose in those merino jumpers on a day like today!!

It's good to see them on someone tall. I often have trouble with things being cropped that aren't meant to be!

Lovely model! She reminds me a bit of Rachel Feinstein Currin.
All the sweaters look fantastic on her. I like the solution you came up with for a new closure.
Going to have to get one of these- but which??
So hard to decide!

I really like this cardigan, it looks like something you can snuggle in.

And wearing knitwear in summer is the sign of a true friendship :)
