at zakkaya

first of all, thank you everyone who has bought a raffle ticket/s. so far i've collected close to $500 to give to the red cross. i'm so impressed with people's generosity and i wish i could give everyone a sweater.  the entries close at the end of the month so please pass on the link to anyone who might want be wanting to donate as they can try and win a prize at the same time!

continuing on in the japanese theme (but in a much more pleasant way), i stopped by zakkaya today. this is one of my absolute favourite shops in melbourne that i don't get to visit as often as i would like. belinda over at simple things told me they had fog linen work now so i made some time to visit.

they did have lots of fog linen things. i could have bought the whole store, but this is what i chose:

and o ceramic mountain brooch

fog linen tea towels (i think my tea towel collection is close to completion).

a cocoon shaped top made from repurposed japanese silk

and this looks like a plan.
