happy to report i am back on track- i made good headway into two new samples, which makes me feel infinitely better. i bought the new apartamento, which only recently came into the shop. each new edition cements it further as my favourite magazine. i picked up a very cute (and free) publication from incu. although it is a fashion store you have to love that they've put the focus on food in their pages. and also, everytime i visit the men's store the staff are so incredibly friendly. i hope they have nice people in their new women's store too. a lovely postcard to stick up on my wall from kiehl's, some new black and white film and a gratuitous inclusion of my contax t2. oh, and some check fabric from the tessuti sale. i'm tempted to make a dress inspired by this for myself.
inside apartamento - thinking of lopping a couple of inches off my hair so it might look like this.
inside incu publication
a while ago i planted a lot of cuttings into boring plastic pots until the roots took. recently i transferred the more successful ones into proper pots. i was amazed that as soon as i did this they started to shoot and put out flowers even more. it reminded me that when things are given love and attention they bloom (no pun intended).
also, have a look at julia's new site. she's done an incredible job and everything looks so appealing. if she she had the enkidu dress in my size i'd snap it up.
happy weekend everyone.

I am waiting for my apartamento so badly :) it is one of my favourite magazines....but Incu was already sold out here in Sydney so I ordered it from Berlin...but I also got this lovely little hand out from them..it is a great store isn't it...hope you are having a lovely weekend..
Funny, because I thought the girl in the magazine was you before I read what you had written underneath ;)
i can never find apartamento in perth...will have to order it! the incu publication looks great. i love the little things that you have captured here.
hope you're having a wonderful weekend, elizabeth.
schorlemadchen and danica - you could try buying it through magnation. they always receive it later than the rest of the world, but they always get it in.
angela - he he :) thanks!
Very nice! Such green thumbs! :)
everything looks so wonderful. i need to buy the new apartamento as soon as possible. i'm sitting in between moving boxes, so looking at some beautiful spaces for a change would be nice.
What a great wrap up ... so glad things are back on track, really seems we were all having one of those weeks .... I just ordered the new Apartamento, I can never find it anywhere so I subscribed for 2 issues ... Off to check out all these links XXX
PS Love your plant, one of my favorites !!!
I'm glad to hear that you have your mojo back!
Isn't it satisfying to grow plants from cuttings? I've got a few in my greenhouse right now.
I am in the process of working out how to make that dress! I have a similar pattern (with that back and a very plain front) so I am rejigging it. We'll see how it goes. Hmm.....
I bought apartamento yesterday as well! I also loved that Paris flat and the piece on Liselotte Watkins. But now it's gone! First, I put it in my shopping bag and feta cheese leaked all over the cover, then about an hour after I bought it I was reading it in the park, my friend arrived and as I told her about the article on Jim Haynes's Paris suppers she immediately said "I know Jim Haynes really well, I worked with him for six years!" So I gave her my copy so she could read it and contact him - must get it back or get another! It has such a nice feel that magazine.
lovely photos, elizabeth. glad you're having a good week :)
that fabric that your bought is deceivingly lovely: i thought it was a simple gingham until i looked closely...
and congrats on the plants: one for my goals this week is to do the same...some of them are beginning to struggle in their too-small pots...it's high time i rescued them!
So good to hear you are back on track again.. YAY!! Looking forward to seeing more photos from you very cool camera :)
I love apartamento too, although it's impossible to find in perth, so I usually buy it online.
Beautiful photos Elizabeth - your blog always feels so soft, warm and inviting.
wise wise words...just what I needed to hear today! thank you :)
and you did a wonderful job with the dress, I love that fabric too!
It's true, new plants thrive when treated well, and they are more rewarding to the eye.
Always a delight to visit your blog. I am glad I have carved a little free time today to do so. Thank-you.
oh lovely...for some reason my magazine guy said they stopped getting apartamento...;(
oh well...
