Today I woke up to a blackout (the apartment's, luckily I don't suffer from blackouts), so I decided to do all my outside the house errands. Plus I realised I haven't had a day off in ages so I also decided to make it fun.
First stop, chat to the burly electricians in the front garden about the burnt electrical wire that was rubbing against the tree and cut off power to our block.
Second stop, enforced coffee, outside the house (I say enforced because usually I stagger from the bed to the coffee machine, without speaking to anyone on the way and if I don't have coffee I get a headache).

Cute bathroom
A long gap between second and third stops because I have to drive to the other side of the city. I make the most of the trip by dropping in at one of my all time favourite Melbourne shops.
Hmm, do I need electronic candles in case there's still a blackout?
The main purpose for the outing; buy more yarn. I feel the need for some lighter colours.
Back over the city again to buy fabric. Had a great conversation with the shopgirl who used to work in knitwear production. And I couldn't believe I could match my yarn palette up so well. Here's my stash:
