Phoenix, Lisztomania

I've had issues to deal with lately. This list includes but is not exclusive to, cat psychology, cracked windscreens, day job, bent eye glasses and wonky lenses. Plus the wind down of the BD is just never ending (don't let anyone ever try to sell you the idea of a quick and simple wedding). There's not a lot of knitting being done right now, which makes me feel really bad, but I'm just trying to roll with it and resolve the issues, one by one.

So, what I am eventually leading to is the French band Phoenix. Ever so closely teetering on the edge of euro cringe, Phoenix are my band equivalent of a summer holiday, in Paris of course, eating croissants in the morning sun, ducking in and out of boutiques, cafes and museums, dressed in a cute little outfit with flats for walking all day, just like Sofia Coppola.

Their mailing list has slowly leaking tidbits of their new album, most recently being a performance on Saturday Night Live, and then when I looked at Garance this morning, I saw she had a big write up about them. Ahh, just what I need right now - a summer holiday - in Paris - in my head - right now. Check it out here.

Edit: the Phoenix on SNL You Tube clip had copyright issues and couldn't be played so I've removed it.
