thank you to nancy and anne louise for passing the blog award baton to me. here are my answers:
question one: why did you create the blog?
i dropped out of my course at rmit (i was loving it, but felt it was time to get started on my own work) so i started a blog to keep motivated, to use as a diary and to see my ideas from a different perspective.
two: what kind of blogs do you follow?
blogs that are created by people i can imagine being friends with in 'real life'.
three: favourite makeup brand
i don't have one. i don't wear much make up since i work from home.
four: favourite clothing brand
marni, dries van noten, isabel marant- i hunt for these labels in consignment shops and ebay. rachel comey shoes, mociun for the prints, hansel from basel socks. chimala and apc for my partner. but my real favourites are stumbling upon niche labels with tiny stores (either physical or online). it's also extra nice to develop a relationship with the seller/maker.
five: your indispensible makeup product
ok,ok, i wish my eyebrows were a little darker, so i have a 5 year old benefit eyebrow kit that i use daily and will probably last me for another 5 years. i also bought some bare minerals powder foundation when i went to new york, which is good and i use some nars blush if i look a little pale.
six: your favourite colour
blue with a little white and black mixed into it resulting in a midnight blue, but one that's not too dark. closely followed by a mossy, heathery green and then a mustardy-ochre.
seven: your perfume
eight: your favourite film
i don't have one favourite. i do love pan's labyrinth, all about my mother, stranger than paradise, trust, manhattan, lost in translation, fitzcarraldo, big night and the leopard.
nine: what country would you like to visit and why?
again, hard to choose just one: argentina for the brooding romance, japan for the food, the shopping and to see how small details should be taken care of, italy, because i feel so at home there, england because i grew up on all creatures great and small and china to trace my heritage.
ten: make the last question and answer to yourself:
keeping it light - what are the last 3 indulgent things you bought? a japanese organic cotton hand towel from muku in ripponlea ( i bought one for my mum and then had to go and get one for myself), a handwoven scarf from pirtti and i just ordered a copy of hand crafted modern.
i pass the award and the answering of these 10 questions to:
