i have delivered a few picnic sweaters to dagmar rousset in gertrude street! i'm so chuffed to have some work in this wonderful store (and it's officially one of the best shops in melbourne!). it was getting dark when i visited but you can still tell it's such a bright pop of colour in a black obsessed city. if you're in melbourne, you must visit especially to check out the eclectic range of socks and owner julia's fantastic outfits!

new stockist - gather
i've had my hands full with online orders lately so i haven't been able to add too many new stockists to my label, however, there have been a few shops that i simply cannot say no to because the people behind them have been of such inspiration to me over the years and it is such an honor to be approached by them. wiksten of course was one of them (and all the scarves have sold out now, so thank you!) and another new one i can announce today is nikki gabriel's new project, a retail space called gather.
gather is located in napier, new zealand and by the looks of the images on nikki's blog, is filled to the brim with beautiful things including nikki's beautiful knitwear that i have admired for years. i think i can also see a great selection of books and periodicals, nikki's boutique yarns and needles, est(?) hand made soaps and also primoeza accessories! thank you to nikki and lucky you to all new zealanders who can visit in person!

new stockist - wiksten
two types of scarves are now available at wiksten (along with some great shabd pieces). i won't be stocking these particular ones in my shop so if you live in the US and were after one of these, wiksten is the place to get them. other stores will be following soon.
also, check out a peek of the lookbook over at bawkbawkbawk.

jenny in picnic sweater
i probably don't need to tell you that this is the lovely jenny gordy, as everyone reads wiksten, but here she is trying out one of my samples! jenny and i were discussing a piece for her and knowing that she loves blue, i suggested this australian alpaca that i had in french blue. it had been on my shelf for a little while, waiting for me to do something with it and i had been procrastinating and was considering dropping it from my collections as it's quite an expensive yarn. anyway, making a piece for jenny was the perfect opportunity to try it out. as it turns out, i was so pleased with it that i've decided to include it in the upcoming collection. i've named it the 'picnic sweater'. it's almost the same as the cabin sweaters currently at anaise, but with longer sleeves (and different colourways).
also, as jenny mentions on her blog, primoeza scarves will soon be available through the wiksten shop! i am incredibly flattered as jenny's work has been of such inspiration to me over the years and her shop is such a delight with its unique selection of goods. scarves will ship in the not too distant future so keep an eye out on jenny's store!

anaise - restocked
i recently sent some more cabin sweaters to anaise so you will find the full range of sizes there again. renee does such a lovely job of styling, i didn't really need to take the photos below, but since i get an email now and then requesting advice on how to wear my pieces, i thought i'd post these. as it turns out, i'm not very good at showing/telling how to wear pieces exactly and i ended up with a bunch of rather abstract shots, but here are some of the better ones that might be of some interest especially for colour/texture inspiration.

stockists update
i've just delivered egyptian cotton and cashmere scarves in summery colours to milly sleeping, including the landscape wrap in a special colourway (above).
craft victoria has landscape wraps in the two colourways and a cloudy day cardigan (below).
and i can now say that these sweaters will be arriving at anaise very shortly.
i am an AU/UK 8-10, US 4-6 and wearing the size large here. the medium is probably a better size for me and i could also wear the small for a slightly more fitted look.
yes, i have been knitting like a maniac!
i'll be closing my shop after this weekend and quite a few pieces have sold out now. an enormous thank you to those who have placed orders or blogged about my work, i am extremely grateful for your support.

new at anaise
very happy to announce that there are a few primoeza pieces now available at anaise. renee has such impeccable style, it's amazing to be represented here. unfortunately i didn't have the dress ready for the photoshoot, but these are some pictures i took a little later on.
i'm still getting interest in the older pieces i made and each pattern takes such a lot of work, so i'm thinking about ways i can continue on with them and also push myself forward as a designer, this button pocket dress being an example.

craft victoria
a few of the pieces going down to craft victoria later this week.
i often give them things that aren't part of the main collection- they're not a fashion store and it gives me a nice chance to try out different colours and techniques.
i'll also be taking down a few more ruffle and small stitch scarves and each piece comes with a hand printed dust bag.

new shops! new shops! new shops!
but first...
starting to prepare my orders for overseas. being the virgo perfectionist that i am, i've spoken to several different boards and organisations about the proper way to export goods and the main things i've learnt are that a: everyone will give you a different answer b: but the most frequently given advice is "i'll give you another number to ring" c: i don't like ringing boards OR organisations.
i wish i had an export mentor, like right now.
but anyhow, now seems like a good time to announce my three new stockists. i'm over the moon having been accepted into these beautiful stores:
Erica Tanov
204 Elizabeth St, New York NY
this store doesn't need much of an introduction. i learned about it from numerous mentions on the web along with the store's own beautiful look books. plus it's is in nolita - my new favourite area in nyc.
Chellis Wilson
17 Pleasant St, Studio District, Portland ME
i so wish i could visit this store because it looks right up my alley. barbara the owner and i also share a strangely large amount in common!
Orson and Blake
83-85 Queen St, Woollahra, NSW
i almost can't believe my work is going to be in this store - a huge presence in australian retail.
i hope if you are in their area you will check them out!

here are some of the pieces going into husk and safari living these coming weeks. the materials used for these pieces include egyptian cotton, merino wool, cotton and linen. all handcrafted, they are lovely and light for summer, and of course available to order through my website too.
